This category was launched to highlight films without dialogue, where music, cinematography, and actor performance become central elements in constructing the narrative. The Bird-of-Paradise symbolizes the unique beauty and complexity of these productions, which aim to create a deep sensory experience, harmoniously and immersively blending sound and image. With submissions open until April 30, the parallel showcase welcomes films from around the world. Productions of any musical genre are eligible, as long as they fit the symphonic concept—meaning films without dialogue that use music as the central narrative element. This category is designed for filmmakers and creators who seek to explore the combination of soundtrack and imagery to tell powerful stories. The event will take place in person at CASA½BAR, located in Balneário Piçarras, Santa Catarina, on the weekend of July 12 and 13, in celebration of World Rock Day. During the festival, audiences will be able to watch the official selection of music videos, divided into two categories: Best Brazilian Music Video and Best International Music Video.
